Getting Started
How do I create a QR code?
Go to the Generator page, select your QR type (URL, Text, vCard, etc.), enter your data, customize the colors and size, then click Generate. Your QR code will appear in real-time!
What QR code types are supported?
We support 9 types: URL (websites), Text (messages), vCard (contacts), WiFi (network credentials), SMS, Email, Phone, Geo (coordinates), and Calendar (events).
Is Magic QR Generator free to use?
Yes! Magic QR Generator is completely free. You get 5 free QR code generations without signing up. Create an account for unlimited QR codes.
Customization
Can I change the QR code colors?
Yes! Use the color pickers to customize both foreground and background colors. Make sure to maintain good contrast for scannability.
How do I add a logo to my QR code?
Click the "Add Logo" button in the preview panel, select your image file. We recommend using high error correction (H) when adding logos for better scannability.
What size should I use?
300px is recommended for general use. Use 400-500px for large prints or posters, and 200px for small applications like business cards.
Export & Download
What export formats are available?
You can download your QR codes as SVG (vector, best for scaling), PNG (raster image), or PDF (document format, ready to print).
Which format should I use for printing?
SVG is best for professional printing as it scales without quality loss. For home printing, PDF works great as it's centered on A4 paper.
Privacy & Security
Is my data stored on your servers?
No! All QR code generation happens entirely in your browser. We don't store, track, or transmit your QR code data to our servers.
Are QR codes secure?
QR codes themselves are just encoded data. Always verify the destination before scanning unknown QR codes, and use HTTPS URLs for secure links.
Troubleshooting
My QR code won't scan. What should I do?
Ensure high contrast between colors (black on white works best), increase the size, use higher error correction (Q or H), and if you added a logo, try removing it or using error correction level H.
I reached the free limit. What now?
Create a free account to get unlimited QR code generations! The login modal will appear automatically when you reach the limit.
